The Active Configuration is the one currently in use with or set to be started by the Total Traffic Control Service to control network traffic.  The current "active" configuration will appear in the list of configurations with its icon differentiated in green.  The inactive configurations are differentiated in red.

To review and edit the Active Configuration, or any inactive configuration, simply double-click on the configuration name.  This will open the configuration in the right pane.

By Right-clicking on a configuration in the list, the standard configuration management options will be displayed.
