Active Statistics Report

While the Service and the Object is active, the user can review the current operational status of the Content Filtering Object(s) by right-clicking on the appropriate Content Filtering Object in the active configuration and selecting the Active Statistics option.

For a more in-depth operational view, or to generate a detailed report, the user should use the Reports tree in the Admin Console to access other Content Filter Traffic Reports.

HTTP Session Statistics

These statistics portray the amount of website traffic being managed by the Object. All values are totals or averages of the component since the Service was last started.

Denied/Deferred:

This value represents the number of website connections that were blocked or delayed by the Content Filter.

Permitted:

This value represents the number of website connections that were allowed by the Content Filter.

Active:

This value represents the number of current website sessions being monitored by the Content Filter.

Sessions / Second:

This value represents the number of website session that were being handled by the Content Filter in the last statistical interval (approximately 15 seconds).

Peak Sessions / Second:

This value represents the highest number of website sessions handled per second by the Content Filter in a single statistical interval since the Service was last started.

Packet Statistics

Processed:

This value represents the total number of website session packets that have passed through the Content Filter since the Service was last started.

Packets / Second:

This is the current speed, in packets per second, at which the Content Filter is handling website traffic.

Cached:

This is the number of session packets that are being cached by the Content Filter due to traffic or application congestion between the Content Filter Object and the content database. This number might be more significant if the content database is resident on another server.
