Active Statistics dialog

Active Sessions:

This list view lists every active session going through this Firewall Object.  Clicking on the heading of a given column in this list view sorts the list by that column.  The following information is included for each active session:

Type - UDP or TCP.

External - IP address (or host name, if known) of the external host in the session.

Origination - A left arrow is displayed for sessions originated by an external host. A right arrow is displayed for sessions originated by an internal host.

Internal - IP address (or host name, if known) of the internal host in the session.

Time - the amount of time since the session began.

Bytes In - the number of bytes sent from the external host in the session.

Bytes Out - the number of bytes sent from the internal host in the session..

Active TCP Sessions - the current number of active TCP sessions.

Active UDP Sessions - the current number of active UDP sessions.

Inbound:

For Inbound traffic several values are displayed.  The values are totals relative to the last time the IP Magic Service was started.

Permitted TCP Sessions - the number of TCP sessions (originated by an external host) that have been permitted.

Denied TCP Sessions - the number of TCP sessions  (originated by an external host) that have been rejected or dropped.

Denied Unknown TCP Packets - the number of TCP packets (originated by an external host) that are unknown to Service and have been rejected or dropped.

Permitted UDP Sessions - the number of UDP sessions (originated by an external host) that have been permitted.

Denied UDP Packets  - the number of UDP packets rejected or dropped.

Outbound:

For Outbound traffic several values are displayed.  The values are totals relative to the last time the IP Magic Service was started.

Permitted TCP Sessions - the number of TCP sessions (originated by an internal host) that have been permitted.

Denied TCP Sessions - the number of TCP sessions  (originated by an inertnal  host) that have been rejected or dropped.

Denied Unknown TCP Packets - the number of TCP packets (originated by an internal host) that are unknown to the Service and have been rejected or dropped.

Permitted UDP Sessions - the number of UDP sessions (originated by an internal host) that have been permitted.

Denied UDP Packets  - the number of UDP packets rejected or dropped.
